El Portal Optique is located next door to the El Portal Theatre near downtown North Hollywood. The well sized store features a number of name brand glasses, sunglasses and contacts. The exterior sports a historic look, carrying over the rich history that the building shares with the theatre. Inside, wooden cases and warm accents fill the space with warmth and charm. Dr. Tran is the main doctor on site, performing comprehensive eye exams and prescribing single focus lenses, bi-focals and contacts where appropriate. The employees are kind and accommodating, and the space is easy to navigate with plenty of mirrors for trying frames on. Parking is free on site and metered on the street.
