El Merengue Bar is named for the traditional Dominican dance, El Merengue, which in turn is named for the Spanish dessert meringue. El Merengue opened in 2002, and has kept a loyal clientele ever since.
Inside you'll find a dark, private spot with a stocked bar. Bartenders speak Spanish. The bar serves a host of beers such as Tecate and Corona, as well as traditional spirits like Tequila, of which El Merengue has a large selection.
You'll also find a jukebox in the back with a host of popular, classic and modern songs. El Merengue Bar is cash only.
