In 2000, El Dorado Savings Bank was named the top savings institution in the Western region of the United States for the second consecutive year by SNL Securities of Charlottesville, Va. The bank was established in Placerville, Calif., in 1957 to offer savings programs to local residents, while promoting home ownership through construction, purchase and refinance loans. As it expanded its operations through the years, the bank developed new loan and savings products, while adding service delivery channels with ATMs, telephone banking and Internet banking. El Dorado Savings Bank has more than 30 locations throughout California and Nevada.
