The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks Municipal Sports Office is located on Laurelgrove Avenue, just off of Vanowen Street. It coordinates amateur sports leagues for the valley area, including softball and baseball teams. There are four different divisions available: open (usually all men, but women may play), co-rec, women, and ages 40 and over (co-ed). Within each division, there are also skills levels ranging from the exceptional to the recreational level. The office charges a per-team fee, and will help place individual players interested in the program in already existing teams. Both mail-in and walk-in registration are available.
