The Durham Recreation & Park District, also known as D.R.P.D, is a recreational special district in Butte County in California. Established in 1947, it is spread over an area of more than 20 acres. The district includes the Dwight Brinson Swim Center, Louis Edwards Park, Ravekes Park, Midway Park and Nelson Park. The Durham Recreation & Park District conducts several recreational programs for adults and children. It also provides various after-school programs and sports activities. The district organizes winter and summer camps. In addition, the Durham Recreation & Park District conducts Schools Out Party, Turkey Hoop Shoot and Spookfest events. It offers facilities on a rental basis and organizes aquatic programs.
