Sponge's Car Wash & Detail Center has been keeping local cars shiny and clean since 1985. The current owners took over in 2006. The business offers a tier of various car wash services from basic foam washing to clear coating, wheel brightening, fine detailing, undercarriage flushing and rust inhibition. The inside facilities include a comfortable, cafe-style waiting room, a popular selection of greeting cards, snacks, sandwiches, drinks and assorted gifts and toys for sale. Self-serve Chevron gasoline is also available on site.
Sponges regularly donates money to the San Ramon Valley School District and Education Foundation and offers a fundraising program for community organizations, churches, local service clubs, athletic teams, non-profit organizations and various school groups.
