Sohail Shayfer, MD, of Sohail Shayfer, MD Inc. in Encino, California, completed his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California, Irvine. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).After medical school, Dr. Shayfer went through his internship and orthopedic residency training through a Tufts University-affiliated hospitals in Boston. He completed two additional fellowships at USC; one in hand surgery through the Joseph H. Boyes program, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine with an emphasis on disorder of shoulder and elbow. To ensure that his patients receive the latest treatments and care techniques, Dr. Shayfer underwent stringent board testing. Hes currently board certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Hes also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.Patients of Dr. Shayfer praise his compassionate bedside manner and ability to provide the utmost kindness during each visit.
