It has had several locations over the years as it has grown in size. We now have 4800 square feet of working space and 8 full-time employees. Professional experience is our key asset. Our head cutter, Rosa, has been at the job for 15 years. Sandy, the Production Supervisor, has been with us for 30 years and Dan, the installer, has held that position for 32 years. Owners, Bill and Lois Laidlaw, are taking over since the retirement of Dave and Ruby Byus who had owned it for the past 10 years. The Laidlaws have been Santa Cruz County residents since the mid 60's and are now residents of Santa Cruz in North Santa Cruz County. They spent many years in remodeling before entering the window fashions field. Bill is a very professional freelance plantation shutter installer whose forte as a finish carpenter led him to concentrating his talents on shutters. Lois has been a seamstress all her life which gives her a great understanding of how fabrics work. She is now retired from the interior design business she founded 15 years ago. Her area of expertise has always been window fashions. Bill is a licensed contractor.
