About UsRanjit Singh Rajpal, MD, FACP, FACC, is a board-certified Cardiologist and Internal Medicine Specialist at Central Valley Cardiovascular Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA). Dr. Rajpal has been practicing in the Central Valley for over forty years, serving the counties of Fresno, Merced, Mariposa, and Madera, California.Dr. Rajpal received his medical degree from a premier medical school in Northwest India (Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab). After graduating from medical school, he did his postgraduate training in the United States. He completed his internal medicine residency at New Jersey Medical School (Rutgers University). He completed his post-doctoral fellowship in Cardiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (Marquette University).Dr. Rajpal is a staff cardiologist at Madera Community Hospital, Madera, St. Agnes Medical Center, Fresno, and Community Regional Medical Center of Fresno. He is also an adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at UCSF-Fresno since 2015. He is actively involved in the affairs of the American Heart Association and has served on the Board of Directors for its Central Valley Chapter.Dr. Rajpal is also actively involved in the health education of physicians, paramedics, nurses, and the general public. He founded the Annual Central Valley Cardiology Symposium in 1981 and continues to direct this event three decades later. The Symposium brings cardiology researchers from institutions around the country to Madera to share the latest technologies and applications with Central Valley physicians.Dr. Rajpal leads the 'Walk with a Doc' monthly program for Madera and Fresno counties, serving the health needs of the general public. This program was initiated under his direction in 2013 when he was president of the Fresno-Madera Medical Society. Dr. Rajpal believes in patient advocacy and, in this regard, actively serves as a member of the California Medical Association (CMA) and the American Medical Association (AMA).Dr. Rajpal has been a clinical cardiologist in the Central Valley since 1980 and has served thousands of patients. He has expertise in multiple disciplines, including hypertension, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Rajpal is an expert in the latest cardiology technology, such as stress testing (including stress echo and nuclear cardiology), echocardiography, external and implantable heart rhythm monitoring, cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty (including stent implantation), Pacemakers, and ICD (implantation and management).
