Day-Lee Foods is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Meat Packers. Its 150 employees are involved in food processing, manufacturing, sales and distribution, as well as exporting. Nippon Meat Packers delivers quality meat products to the food service and general consumer markets. Based in Osaka, Japan and known throughout Japan as Nippon Ham, the company is also an owner a professional baseball team, a professional soccer team and an intricate business line involved in livestock breeding and restaurant operation. The company exports fresh and frozen meats (pork, beef, poultry and sea food) from the United States to Asian countries including Japan, China, Korea and Taiwan. Day-Lee manufactures and distributes frozen foods to stores and restaurants throughout the U.S. and North America. These products include no-chemical-added potstickers, crispy shredded beef tacos, shumai, shrimp taquitos and various other frozen products. Operations in the U.S. are conducted from the Santa Fe Springs, Calif. headquarters and main plant facility.
