Darioush Restaurant is located on La Cienega Boulevard's famed Restaurant Row. Chef and owner Darioush Danesh comes from Iran via London, where he worked at the upscale Belvedere restaurant, after which he came to Los Angeles on holiday and decided that this was where he wanted to be. Two years later, Darioush Restaurant was born.
The cuisine is French-inspired while paying homage to Danesh's Persian roots, with typical dishes including king salmon that is cooked in parchment and seasoned with saffron-lime butter. The menu is inspired by produce from the farmers market, grass-fed meats and organic free-range game, while the wine list includes many selections from California and France. The dining room is intimate with dark wood tones, oil paintings and soft lighting, and there is a small outdoor patio for dining al fresco.
