Western Youth Services, founded in 1972, is a community-based, nonprofit agency that provides prevention and mental health treatment services to troubled youths and their families. It operates Family Resource Centers in Anaheim, Brea, Fullerton, La Habra, Orange, Westminster and Huntington Beach counties in California. The agency provides counseling and crisis intervention services for the Orangewood Children s Home, a facility that cares for abused and neglected children. Western Youth Services offers parenting, family life education and early childhood intervention programs. Its staff is comprised of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, family counselors and support personnel. The agency serves more than 6,000 clients every year. In addition, Western Youth Services offers family and marital therapy, psychological testing and case management services. It maintains a location in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
