Culver City High School is a college-oriented high school with just more than 2,200 students. The average class size is 33 to 38 students.
Dedicated to a clear academic plan, CCHS offers courses in english, mathematics, modern language, physical education, science and social studies, as well as vocational education.
Culver City High School also offers The Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. AVPA is a four-year program that incorporates intensive studies in Visual Arts, Film & Video Production, Theatre and Music. Students take advanced level classes after school, many for college credit, in their major. The courses combined with a rigorous production schedule provide a balance between hands-on and academic training. Students get a chance to practice their craft alongside motivated and talented peers and qualified professional teachers, designers, directors, actors, musicians and artists.
