CRASH is one of the oldest providers of alcohol and other drug treatment services in San Diego County. CRASH, an acronym for Community Resources And Self Help, is a community-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping substance abusers become clean, sober, productive and self-sufficient members of their communities. It has experience implementing both residential and non-residential alcohol and drug programs and services through contracts with the County of San Diego Alcohol and Drug Services, as well as state and local criminal justice organizations. Some of these programs include 60- to 90-day residential treatment programs, non-residential services for pregnant women, long-term residential treatment programs and recovery programs. CRASH was founded in 1970 and operates approximately eight treatment centers in San Diego County.
