Chef/Owner Tom Colicchio opened Craft Los Angeles in 2007 after creating the original Craft in New York, among other restaurants, six years earlier. Craft offers an upscale, elegant and simple dining experience. The menu is organized by first courses, second courses and side dishes, with a prix fixe menu available. Fish choices include roasted Alaskan halibut with heirloom beans, roasted black cod with prosciutto and braised striped bass with horseradish. Raw oysters are available on the first course menu. Meat choices include quail, chicken, rack of pork, 35 day dry-aged 22-ounce sirloin and braised beef short ribs. Veal shank is served for the table. An assortment of seasonal vegetables and grains are available on the side. Craft uses many local, sustainable and organic farmers, with menu items changing seasonally, according to availability. Private dining is available as well as a large patio with a view of a park.
