The Human Resource division is a part of the Office of the County Administrator, which is a department that is administered by the government of San Joaquin County. The Human Resource division provides services for various county departments. It offers recruiting, exam development and employee benefit solutions. The division also administers training, education and deferred compensation programs. It negotiates labor contracts and processes complaints and grievances, as well as advises county departments on disciplinary actions and counseling matters. The division recommends policies and procedures for employer-employee relationships. San Joaquin County additionally administers treasurer-tax collector, heath care service, county council, and revenue and recovery departments.
