Fresno Community Sanitation
Fresno Community Sanitation is a division of the City of Fresno's Public Works Department, dedicated to providing high-quality and cost-effective maintenance of the city's streets, concrete infrastructure, lighting, and urban forestry. With a team of 300 staff members, they oversee various divisions including Street Maintenance, Traffic Signals and Street Lights, Landscape Maintenance, Urban Forestry, and Graffiti Abatement. Led by Assistant Director Brian Russell, they are committed to delivering paving, concrete, and neighborhood infrastructure projects, as well as ensuring emergency preparedness and stormwater management. The Street Maintenance Division of Fresno Community Sanitation is responsible for repairing damaged concrete infrastructure, patching sidewalks to ensure safety, replacing sidewalks, curbs, and gutters as needed, and maintaining compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act by replacing non-compliant curb ramps. They also handle road maintenance, including pothole and sinkhole repairs, clearing traffic hazards, maintaining storm drains and city ponding basins, and conducting street overlay and slurry programs. Additionally, their Street Light crews ensure the proper functioning of traffic signals and street lights throughout the city.Generated from the website
