History
The Center was started in 1949 to provide a place for those who were blind and visualy impaired to come and socialize. Since then, while still providing a robust social and recreational programs, the Center has expanded to providing the skills needed for someone to live successful independent lives.
Specialties
We provide high-quality, customized vocational rehabilitation for those who are blind and visually impaired in areas including: independent living (cleaning, cooking, banking, etc.), orientation and mobility (traveling from one place to another independently), computers and adaptive technology (Windows/Mac/, iPhone/Android phones/tablets, digital magnifiers, book readers, , etc.), as well as recreation (pottery, arts and crafts, field trips, guest speakers and support group)
