Originally founded in 1851 in Columbia, Mo., the college opened its Los Alamitos campus in 1997. It offers associate and bachelor's degrees through online and on-campus courses. The college's director is Carl David. Located at the Joint Forces Training Base, the college offers five sessions a year, with courses lasting eight weeks. Named a Military Friendly College in 2009, the school emphasizes its degree flexibility, allowing students to start and stop courses as necessary to meet work, family or military obligations.
