The Colorado Lagoon is a 13-acre body of water that was historically part of the greater Los Cerritos Wetlands and currently features a recreation area, walking trail and nature park. The Lagoon is overseen by FOCL, a coalition of citizens who work to restore and preserve urban wetlands.

Free, plenty of space for swimming, sun bathing, picnic, bathrooms, easy ups. Get there early to pick a good spot. There's a playground area too. Be early for good parking as well.
