Established in 1926 and formerly known as Marin Junior College, College of Marin is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It features two campuses, including Kentfield Campus and Indian Valley Campus that offer learning opportunities to more than 9,000 students. The college s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, science, humanities, mathematics, social studies and communications. It also offers special courses in behavioral science, business law, and fine and visual arts. The college additionally provides foreign language classes in Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Chinese. College of Marin s sports activities include soccer, swimming, running, baseball, football and basketball. The college offers a variety of distance learning courses, as well as special programs and services for the disabled students. It maintains a library, science and computer laboratories, and media, health and counseling centers. College of Marin maintains a presence in Kentfield, Calif.
