History
Though I completed my masters degree in clinical psychology, at Sonoma State University in 1981, I continued my studies with experts in Gestalt therapy, Reichian Therapy and Jungian Analysis for several years asI I set up my private practice with clients. In the 38 years since then I have. studied many psychological and spiritual modalities always adding to my understanding of the human mind and soul. I am a scholar of ancient cultures, spending time every year traveling and researching other cultures beliefs and practices to learn what they believed and how their histories contributed to the development of their people. Always looking for what is essential; what is shared that supports the archetypal unconscious of us all. I've created workshops and study groups on creativity, relationships, feminism, dialogue, and communication.
Specialties
I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Jungian Psychology, and have had a meditation and yoga practice for over 40 years. For the last 35 years I have had a private practice as a counselor and teacher, counseling individuals and couples. My special interests have been the spiritual aspects of our nature, with particular focus on the feminine aspects of our spirituality. These interests have inevitably led me to ancient cultures and religions, for elsewhere and in other times societies have equated what is godly with what is female. I specialize in-depth psychology tending the soul through dream analysis, active imagination and journaling. Counseling couples, processing individual trauma, abuse, addiction, eating disorders, and issues around death and dying, are a few of the areas I specialize in.
