Alameda's Christ Episcopal Church has been serving Alameda and its surrounding communities since 1871. The CEC currently has an active parish of more than 360, including more than 100 children and youth. The CEC is a welcoming and diverse community, with great diversity of age, cultural background, economic resources, sexual orientation and political viewpoint. The CEC maintains an active schedule of community, spiritual and musical events for parish members of all ages.

Calvary Christian Center Assembly

The Calvary Christian Center on Grand Avenue in Central Alameda boasts a busy congregation that participates in local, national and international missions. Congregants travel as far as Uganda, but also as near as visiting seniors in the Alameda Care Center. The Center has active children, youth, men's and women's ministries and was known until the 1970s as the First Assembly of God. The 10am Sunday Worship Service features both contemporary and traditional Christian music.
