The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert (CDMoD) in Palm Desert, CA is a beloved institution that has been serving the community for over three decades. After undergoing a reimagining process, CDMoD is set to reopen in March 2024 with a brand new, whimsical space designed to engage and inspire children aged 0-8 years old. With the goal of expanding experiences and programming for all ages and family members, the museum is counting on the support of the community to make this vision a reality.
CDMoD has worked closely with its original exhibitry company to create over 40 new exhibits that encourage imagination, expression, movement, experimentation, exploration, and dreaming. The museum's long-term plan includes five phases, which involve the reimagination of all three buildings, building expansion, new construction, and an exterior plan. With a budget of $3 million for the first phase, CDMoD is grateful for the generous donors who have sustained the museum throughout its closure and is excited to reopen with Spring Break Camps, field trips, and plenty of fun for everyone.
