ECONCO Broadcast Service Inc. has been rebuilding vacuum tubes for more than 30 years. The company s 40,000 square-foot plant facilitates tube assembly, advanced production processing equipment and test consoles. The company tests tubes when they arrive and perform an internal inspection and failure analysis. The tubes are rebuilt by hand, replacing old and defective parts with new ones. The tubes are evacuated, pumped, processed, cleaned, polished and plated. Finally, the tubes are retested to original specifications before being shipped back to customers. It has the ability to test each tube up to 70 KV. In addition, its custom tracking system maintains a record of each tube from the moment it receives it through testing, production, banking and delivery.
