Incorporated in 1979, the Central Valley Opportunity Center is a community-based corporation that operates various employment, educational, economic development and social service programs. The center serves individuals in Stanislaus, Merced and Madera counties in California. It manages the WIA 167 Migrant And Seasonal Farmworker Program, which assists in obtaining permanent and higher paying employment opportunities. The Central Valley Opportunity Center also offers energy crisis intervention and home energy assistance programs. The center provides installation services for energy conservation devices, as well as minor home repair and carbon monoxide safety check options. Its clients include the U.S. Department of Labor and the Department of Community Services and Development.
