Established in 1977, Western University of Health Sciences is a nonprofit graduate university. It enrolls more than 1,500 students and operates over five colleges, including the college of veterinary medicine, pharmacy and graduate nursing and Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. It offers various degrees programs in health sciences, nursing, pharmaceutical sciences and science physician assistant studies. It also offers doctorate programs in osteopathic medicine, pharmacy and veterinary medicine. The university also provides distance education programs for the off-campus students. Its library center provides various journals, reference books, audiocassettes and newspapers and also offers an online catalog for the distance learners. Western University of Health Sciences is located in Pomona, Calif.
