This environmental nonprofit aims to educate county residents, officials and business owners about sustainability--the concept of meeting today's economic and social needs without jeopardizing future generations' resources. Sustainable San Mateo County conducts workshops and panel discussions and provides such information as how to get help and funding to make one's home or business more energy-efficient. The Sustainable Business Workshops on how to affordably become a green business are held throughout the county.
