Founded in 1957, Cathedral School for Boys is an independent Episcopal school serving the San Francisco community. The school enrolls more than 235 boys in kindergarten through eighth grade, and is fully accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools. The school also holds membership in the National Association of Independent Schools, the National Association of Episcopal Schools, and various national and local educational associations. Its lower school classes accommodate up to 24 students, and its upper school students receive instruction in groups of 10-to-16 students for most activities. Extended day care is available for boys in kindergarten through grade six, and in grades seven and eight by special arrangement. The school s academic curriculum includes English, social studies, art and music, math, history and science. It also offers various activities, including soccer, team handball, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, softball and track.
