At Cassell's Music we still believe that "Service is part of the package". Store Owner Ed Intagliata's interest in music began at the age of 7 when he started taking lessons on the accordion and continues playing today. Upon graduation from Palos Verdes High School, he attended Cal State Fullerton where he received his BA in Music Education in 1976. In 1978 Ed's family bought Cassell's Music from a retiring Al Cassell who had founded the store in 1947. Ed can play at least one song on just about any instrument you hand him, and plays guitar, bass and keyboard and directs the choir in his church. In addition, he has written and co-written contemporary Christian songs and has been showcased on a local Christian radio station, winning their songwriting contest in 1991. Originally from Massachusetts Assistant manager Chris Grocott started playing Bass Guitar at the age of 16, moved to L.A. and graduated from BIT in 1984 and owned a vintage guitar store from 1989 to 1998. Chris has been at Cassell's since 2000 and also does our band Instrument repairs.
