Casa Grande High School was founded in the 1970s and today educates nearly 1,800 students. It has a 93 percent graduation rate and about 33 percent Latino students, including 18 percent English learners. The school prides itself in a rigorous curriculum where students meet in "small learning communitites," cluster groups with different subject concentrations including marketing and media, green technology, health careers and liberal studies to better prepare themselves for the workplace.
The school is led by principal Linda Scheele and received 791 on the 2010 Growth API score, exceeding its target by more than 15 points.
