Canvasback Missions is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1981 to serve remote Pacific islands with needed healthcare and health education to the island nations of Micronesia.
Medical and dental care were first provided by professionals who volunteered their time and were transported to the islands aboard the Canvasback -- the world's largest sailing catamaran.
Today volunteers are flown to Micronesia, where they conduct clinics on the larger islands.
