History
In 1974, Chuck Fromm became the assistant city manager of Yuba City. He and his friend Ted Blaymeyer (recreation director at Beale AFB) began a record distribution company. All the profits went into funding Christian bands to tour through central California. More than a dozen churches began from the young converts and North Valley Calvary Chapel was one of them. In 1978, Chuck's brother Bob became the pastor and still is then lead pastor. He had been a pastor in 2 other churches, the last one being the first assistant pastor to Chuck Smith at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Bob and his wife LaVon have two sons, Matthew and Christopher who love God and live in Southern California. Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational church that teaches through the Bible from Genesis through Revelation.
