Callahan's is an old fashioned family diner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Founder Mel Callahan ran the restaurant for 40 years before turning it over to Abe Vasquez and his family in 1988. The restaurant has changed very little over the years, with its comfy booths and counter service.
Breakfast is very popular here, with classic dishes and plenty of coffee. Lunch and dinner feature sandwiches, open-faced sandwiches, steaks, seafood and entrees. Entrees include lamb chops, filet of sole, grilled beef liver, chicken fried steak, deep fried shrimp or scallops and pork chops. The menu also features two diet plates of beef patty or cold turkey. St. Patrick's Day is always a big celebration at Callahan's.
