California Alumni Association, founded in 1872 and located in Berkeley, Calif., is one of the largest dues-paying associations of alumni in the world. The association serves as a connection platform between alumni, students and the University of California at Berkeley. It has more than 90,000 members who participate and contribute to a wide variety of programs and services of CAA. The alumni scholarship program awards more than $1 million to more than 1,000 undergraduates who demonstrate leadership skills in campus, community, and job activities. The CAA achievement award provides full scholarships to 15 freshmen that participate in UC Berkeley s outreach programs. California Alumni Association has its own class reunions and homecoming weekends, each fall.
