History
The Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo Co, Inc. is a private, nonprofit, Public Benefit corporation founded in 1965, serving the needs of the economically disadvantaged in San Luis Obispo County. In addition, we are now providing services in other counties including Orange, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Fresno, Kern, Monterey and San Joaquin. Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County focuses on helping people and changing lives through serving nearly 40,000 persons across Central and Southern California. We are committed to eliminating poverty by empowering individuals and families to achieve economic self-sufficiency and self-determination through a comprehensive array of community-based programs.
Specialties
The Community Action Migrant and Seasonal Head Start program provides child care and a comprehensive program of health, parent involvement, and social services for preschool children of low-income migrant and seasonal farm workers.
