Brandeis Hillel Day School is an independent, coeducational school providing education for children in grades kindergarten through eight. Founded in 1963 in San Francisco as the Brandeis School, it merged with the Hillel Day School to become Brandeis Hillel Day School. The school is accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools and Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Brandeis Hillel Day School s curriculum includes English, with an emphasis on writing, reading and public speaking, Hebrew, mathematics, science, social studies and Judaic studies. In addition, the school offers performing and visual arts, athletics, music, technology and outdoor education.
