History
The Brand Library opened in 1956 as a branch of the Glendale Public Library system, with a focus on visual arts and music. In 1969 an addition added a professional art gallery and recital hall for concerts and other programs. In 2014, Brand Library & Art Center reopened after a two year renovation that restored the 1904 mansion and provided much needed updates to library spaces and infrastructure.
Specialties
Visual arts and music collections and free public programs, including the Music Series, Dance Series, Plaza Series, and gallery exhibitions throughout the year.
