Founded in 1919, Braille Institute is a nonprofit organization engaged in providing low vision rehabilitation consultations to people suffering from blindness and severe sight loss. Located in Santa Barbara, Calif., it provides educational training, programs and services. The organization provides a range of services, including child services, children literacy service, youth and teen service, career service, adult services and low vision service, among others. It also offers library service, Braille publishing, public foundation and resources, vistas store and recorded media, to name a few. Braille Institute offers online services and classes and carries out Youth and Child Development programs that help blind and visually impaired children.
