This is the local outpost for the National Boys and Girls Club of America. It has been located at this structure since opening in 1994 and is adjacent to the town's Community Center, the Community Sports Field and the adjacent Community Gardens.
The Club is a program for school-age youth grades 1-12. Through mentoring, it shows youth how to develop a positive attitude towards self, family and community. It sponsors different educational seminars and events and also fundraisers that show how to complete a project from start to finish and reach a goal. The activities include sports events, music education and counselingThis is not a religious organization. There is an annual membership fee that is either paid by the individual or the community.
