Incorporated in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest youth development organizations in the nation. Located in Seattle, Wash., the organization works to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. It also surveys youth, volunteers, and club scout parents, from time to time, on various issues. Moreover, the Boy Scouts of America publishes handbooks for all phases of the scouting program for use by youth members, adult leaders and parents. It serves nearly 4.1 million youths between the ages of 7 and 20 with more than 300 councils throughout the United States and its territories.
