This fitness studio specializes exclusively in Pilates classes and private training. Maria Leone heads the staff of more than a dozen trainers, and is certified by the Physical Mind Institute and the American Council on Exercise. Private and semi-private sessions, as well as reformer classes, are available Monday through Saturday in the upstairs studio, which is fully-equiped with Pilates machines and mirror-lined walls.
The workouts here are designed around the principles developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen core muscles, increase flexibility, and tone muscles while creating minimal stress on joints. The training is also intended to improve posture, balance and coordination while lifting and opening up the body's energy. Trainers can customize workout programs to individuals' needs and goals.
