History
I started in rehab, then worked with athletic trainers and transitioned into the gym setting. I've personal trained since 1998. I have my Bachelors degree and I'm a current certified trainer. I believe in continual learning, to sharpen my skills and increase my knowledge with current research and from learning from the best in the field. I have a sound understanding of the human body and the body's proper movement along with decreasing body fat%, weight-loss methods, muscle development, Egoscue-a rehab method, power lifting, yoga, postural corrective exercises, strength training with the various principle methods. I take pride in my ability to learn my clients to know how to teach them effectively so that they obtain the knowledge that will empower them to maintain their results and live a healthy lifestyle.
Specialties
Having giving birth to five children and being in my 40s I know how that can take a toll on a woman's body. I as well, have experienced being overweight, having to fight through the struggle of the weight-loss journey and work through the mental struggle of divorce, child-hood traumas and hardships of life being a single mom. My specialty is knowing the woman's body and understanding what it takes to make real changes and transform your body in ways you thought might have been impossible. I'm experienced in Pilates (core-pelvic floor strengthening), Powerlifting, a variety of strength training principled methods, powerful circuit training thats fun, Yoga, Egoscue, post rehab, postural alignment, weight-loss, Vo2max conditioning, to mention a few. in addition, I specialize in learning my clients to better coach them, so they become knowledgeable and get real results without waisting valuable time.
