United blood Services has been directly serving this area for over 6 decades. United Blood Services is an industry leader and the second largest blood provider in the country. Find the Hero in You. Donate Blood. Save Lives. Centers are conveniently located in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, and Ventura, as well as community drives happening daily throughout the region. Visit blood4life.org to find a drive near you. If you are age 16 and older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in good health, you can likely donate to save a life. Additional height and weight requirements apply for donors age 22 and younger. Donors who are age 16, will need a parent permission slip to donate. Please help us spread the word about the need for blood donors, and how our everyday heroes are saving lives.
