Black Angus Restaurant is a steakhouse that has locations throughout the West. Its menu specializes in USDA Choice fresh-cut steak; seasoned, seared and slow-roasted signature prime rib; and a variety of seafood entrees. Stuart Anderson's Black Angus and Cattle Company Restaurants first opened in April 1964. Anderson, a rancher and Washington State native, opened the first Black Angus restaurant in the remodeled dining room of the Caledonia, an old Seattle hotel he was operating. Stuart Anderson's Restaurants has nearly 90 restaurants located in eleven states throughout the West and Midwest. In some states, Stuart Anderson's operates under the name Stuart Anderson's Cattle Company to prevent confusion with local restaurants that were already named Black Angus prior to Stuart Anderson's arrival. Black Angus Restaurant has a location in Torrance, Calif.
