History
Birdhouse Ceramics began in 2016 with one wheel and the only goal of making a few cups and bowls to sell around town. Over the years, pottery production has increased and starting in the summer of 2019 Birdhouse began offering adult and children pottery classes out of a home studio.
Specialties
Birdhouse Ceramics is a backyard art studio where adults and children can encourage tranquility and imagination by creating and connecting through the medium of clay. We are a small space where art, creativity, and community meet under one roof, valuing the experience of transforming a ball of clay into a vessel, mug, or bowl with our own hands. The studio offers 4 pottery wheels, a variety of hand tools, a number of high fire and low fire glazes, a variety of colored slips, kiln, and four different clay bodies. We strive to create a friendly, creative and supportive environment in which to learn, work and play in clay.
