History
The Beverly Hills Courier is an award-winning weekly print newspaper and daily web newspaper of major circulation in Beverly Hills and the surrounding communities of Bel Air, Brentwood, Westwood and Century City. The Courier has been the #1 media outlet in Beverly Hills since its founding according to studies conducted independently by the UCLA Anderson School of Management, the City of Beverly Hills, and the Circulation Verification Council. The publication was founded by now-publisher emeritus March Schwartz in 1965 with the editorial guidance of his managing editor Arthur M. Goldberg from 1966 to 2003. Both individuals were products of the long-defunct evening companion newspaper to the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Mirror, where Schwartz was the classified sales manager and Goldberg was the editor. The Courier was acquired in 2004 by The San Marino Tribune Company, Inc. Today the Beverly Hills Courier is still known for its influential contributions to the community.
