History
Dr. Laurel received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital-Institute of Health Professions, in Boston, MA. She has her Orthopedic Clinical Specialty. She now has over a decade of experience. Over the years she has been fortunate to be able to make powerful and positive impacts in the lives of her patients. She is active, just like you, so she knows what you need to get back to the activities you love. When she's not guiding patient through their quick recoveries she is having fun being active in the mountains hiking and snowboarding or at the ocean surfing and paddling with her fury sidekick or at the bay learning to kite.
Specialties
Unfortunately, injuries and pain happen, especially to people who live very active lives. A sprained ankle leaves you hobbling around, a hurt shoulder makes the day to day annoyingly challenging, or paralyzing back pain that makes it almost impossible to move. Active people are extremely frustrated when injury or pain abruptly derails their lives keeping them from the sports and activities that give their bodies the endorphins they crave. They fear recovery will take what seems like forever and they dread the thought of their injury becoming a chronic condition that will take away their ability to live the life they love. Based on my decade of experience practicing as a doctor of physical therapy, the best treatment for more than 90% of injuries and pain is physical therapy. The problem here is people are waiting weeks to months to get the care they really need. Don't wait! Start recovery now! Book your appointment today!
