History
Guy La Brusciano has been in the fitness and training business for over 20 years. He founded BASIC Weight Loss Boot Camp in 2010 out of a need he observed for a smarter approach to group boot camp classes. The fact that BASIC Weight Loss Boot Camp classes are held both indoors and outdoors allows for a greater variety of training choices while also avoiding the inconvenience and restrictions of being out in the park when it is dark or raining. BASIC started out in Silver Lake at the Sweat Spot Dance Studio and is now open in Beverly Hills at the West Side Jewish Community Center. Our mission is to create educated clients who know how to properly train their bodies to be more resilient to injury while being lean and totally functional. A big part of this program is education and empowerment of the individual to take charge of their own health and fitness.
Specialties
We specialize in rapid weight and fat loss utilizing functional exercises designed to realign the body and make it move more naturally. We offer a natural approach to fitness and weight loss. The program emphasizes restoring function to the body through the use of a series of realigning and corrective exercises designed to work at a very deep layer of the body's muscular system. Then introducing a series of more dynamic exercises that utilize the bodies own weight and leverage to challenge you and improve the natural movement of your body. Every workout evolves and changes to keep your body constantly making progress. We utilize everything from TRX's and power ropes to dumbbells and jump ropes to get a complete and total training effect for your body. Nutritionally we adhere to the philosophy that not all diets or eating regimens are right for all people so we assess each person to establish their own individual metabolic type and diet plan.
