Established in 1982, Baldwin Academy is a childcare center for children from infancy to kindergarten. The academy s Blue Bird program accommodates babies from six-weeks through 12-months and the Parakeet program involve activities for fine-and gross-motor development, hand-eye coordination, individual play within a group setting and development of postural strength and stamina for one-year olds. The academy s Canaries program is a balance of structured play, pre-academic exposure and non-directed socialization activities for two-year olds and the Robins' day program is a mixture of structured play and early academic exposure for three-year olds. Baldwin s Big Nest program for four-year olds organizes the day into specific activities that expose children to language arts, mathematics, science, art, music, movement and Spanish. The Baldwin Academy Parrots kindergarten is composed of journaling, language arts, music, creative arts and physical education. The Baldwin Academy is in San Diego.
